Planet Organic

Full on flavour, light on the earth

Planet Organic is a Queensland company who sell a range of certified organic food and beverage products. Established in 1997 on the Sunshine Coast their products include teas, coffees, herbs, spices and coffee alternatives. With all products being free of synthetic chemicals, fertilisers and GMO’s. They also source fair-trade ingredients and focus on minimal packaging using sustainable, recycled materials.

This website was a collaborative effort between Planet Organic, Slickweb and Queensland graphic designer Simon Martin. Simon reached out to us to build Planet Organic a robust new eCommerce platform to push their business to the next level. He provided the brand assets and photography whilst we built the website and marketing materials.

One of the key parts of the brief was that the client wanted to simplify the management of the website on the back end. Their old online store was built using Wordpress, and it was overly complex and time consuming for them to manage. The new website was built using Shopify and has dramatically streamlined their whole workflow.

We focused on creating a fresh, simple user interface with a product-focused, conversion strategy. Customers can browse and go straight to checkout quicker and easier with this new and improved website. We also designed and developed a suite of email communications utilising native Shopify and Klaviyo email solutions. These comms spanned transactional emails through to automated flows including Welcome Series and Abandoned Cart emails.

We could not be happier with how the final online presence has turned out. And it’s always nice to help out a company whose ethos is aligned with our own and are producing products in an ethical, organic, sustainable fashion.
